The purpose of the Australasian Monster Truck Association (AMTA) is to enhance and promote the Safety of Monster Truck events for drivers and spectators alike at all events throughout Australia and New Zealand.

There is no guaranteed certainty of safety by adopting the rules and regulations developed by the AMTA. However, adhering to these guidelines will enhance safety for all concerned and greatly reduce the risks involved with staging and hosting such events

These regulations and principles are intended purely as a guideline for safer conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or fatalities to participants/crew/ground staff, and/or spectators.

Perfect adherence and application of the regulations published by AMTA will not ensure that all vehicles will perform all safety applications. The constructor(s) and driver(s) involved have the ultimate control over how the monster truck is both constructed and operated.

Using AMTA rules does not imply that all safety measures are included. The AMTA and its representatives assume no liability whatsoever and will not be held responsible for any incidents or accidents that occur by its associates or members.
